In the cross-country series for schools at Torbay last Saturday, Patrick O'Grady shattered the record for the high school 3000 meters by a margin of more than twelve seconds.
The seventeen year-old, who has featured very strongly in the road race series this year, covered the course in 8 minutes 37.1 seconds. The series continues over the next two weekends.
Help is always needed at these events so if you can volunteer contact George Stanoev at athletics@nlaa.ca.
