Don't Be A Bandit

Race organizers work hard to accommodate registered runners, ensuring adequate aid station supplies, medical resources and route safety among other things. Knowing exactly how many are participating in your event is critical to safe race management.

To this end please see the following note from the organizers of the upcoming Cape To Cabot 20K:
"Athletics NorthEAST would like to remind runners that official Championship Series races, such as the Scotiabank Cape to Cabot 20K, are designed, resourced, and insured for REGISTERED RUNNERS ONLY. Therefore, race bibs must be visible at all times to ensure that all participants are registered for the event. Unregistered participation is strictly forbidden and the public is reminded that parking will not be available during race hours at Cape Spear, Signal Hill, the Visitors Centre, Geo Centre and the Battery Hotel (spectators will be shuttled to and from Signal Hill from the Aliant parking lot). With the cooperation of all, a smooth and successful event this year will allow for the significant increase of registration capacity in future years."
