Kate Vaughan and Peter Bazeley captured victory at yesterday's Mercury Athletics 15 km road race in Portugal Cove-St. Philips. Vaughan covered the challenging course to finish fourth overall in an excellent time of 57 minutes 39 seconds. Bazeley's winning time was 54 minutes 13 seconds.Tracy Hussey was second in the women's race in 1:02:08 while Janelle Miller was 3rd in 1:02:32. Second place in the men's division was taken by Peter Power in 54:56 and Edward Durnford took third in 56:29.
