This is the Ian Ash rainbow. It made an appearance last year as well. He is just looking over the race and runners.
Thanks for this - someone contacted me on Flickr and also said that it's Ian's rainbow. Could someone tell me a bit more about Ian?
Ian was a tremendous supporter of road running. He attended practically every event and usually set up and operated the finish line structure and equipment. In addition to supporting events and other runners he managed to find time to participate as well! Unfortunately Ian passed away at a much too young age about 18 months ago.
