Online registration is closed but it's not too late to run tomorrow's Mundy Pond 5K. There will be race morning registration at the Mews Center starting 7am.

And remember there is no in-person registration until race morning so DON'T GO to Toyota Plaza tonight (unless of course you're going to buy a new Toyota!).

Another Win For Brockerville

Ryan Brockerville won the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Ralph Vernacchia Track and Field Meet in Bellingham, Washington last Friday. He ran 9:15, qualifying for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championships on May 27-29 in Marion, Indiana.

2 PBs For Brockerville

Ryan Brockerville

Ryan Brockerville continues to dominate the national track and field scene and set a personal best in the 800m at the March 27 Simon Fraser University Spring Open Meet, winning the race in 1:54:66.

Ryan followed up a week later with a second PB winning the 1500 in 3:55:42.

Donna Powers Through Arizona Half

Congratulations to Donna Power on her first place age group finish at the Arizona Distance Classic Half Marathon last weekend.

Donna ran a 1:44:03 to beat out 80 other competitors in the F 45-49 age group.

Hundreds Run Tely Teaser

It couldn't have been a better day for a 10 mile jaunt in Topsail Road as 400-500 runners gave the Tely 10 route a test run Friday morning.

Thanks to the many bikers offering support, the 2 Keith's for the handy and much-needed water & PowerAde stop, and to Don Osmond for the pictures.

Sutherland Slugs Through Central

Candace Sutherland is a few days into her cross-Canada run to raise awareness and funds for child poverty. Currently in the Gander area she is experiencing some discomfort with abrasions and blistering but is continuing her journey nonetheless.

If you see her beige Salvation Army branded van on the road, be sure to stop by and offer your encouragement, a few bucks, or maybe a pair of blister-resistant socks!
