McIlroy Short On Record But Long On Effort

The team started to worry when Caroline McIlroy was 1 hour, then 2 hours past her scheduled arrival in Petty Harbour.

What would have been a quick rest stop before pushing on for the final 30k of the East Coast Trail, turned into the final stop of a valiant 31 hour run!

With at least one of several support runners by her side every step of the way from Cappahayden to Petty Harbour, Caroline called it quits at 190k.
"It is the hardest thing I have ever done. The 100 mile race (Caroline won the Sinister 7 Ultra in July) was a picnic in comparison ... thanks to the most amazing support crew.”
