The high winds and cool temperature didn't keep the Nautilus Running Club from enjoying their annual Boxing Day run. Pictured left are a few runners tuffing it out.

Death Beckons

Local runner Bob Miller joins the "Running Away" club with plans to do the Canadian Death Race this August through the Rocky Mountain foothills in Alberta. The course covers 125 kilometers through 17,000 feet of elevation change, over 3 mountain summits, across the Smoky and Sulphur rivers, and through Hell's Gate canyon. Remembering Fred Fost

Today we remember Fred Fost who passed away Thursday after a battle with cancer. "Fred was a gentleman to the core and never once in his lifetime uttered harsh words against a single soul; and he never once complained about the misery he lived through every day of his battle with the disease. Of course, he was quite a good runner in his day too..." (words of Chris Murphy).

Our thoughts are with Fred and his family.
