Other Miami Finishers

In addition to Caroline Mcilroy's podium finish, several other runners represented Newfoundland in Miami this morning. Completing the marathon were Gaye Roberts (4:12:22), Robert Simpson (4:12:22), and David Peddle (4:16). And finishing the half were Jason Evans (1:46) and Renee Squires (1:51:53).

Mcilroy Medals In Miami

Congratulations to Caroline Mcilroy on her podium finish this morning at the Miami Marathon. With a time of 2:51:08 Caroline was the 3rd female to cross the line. See her split times and the leaderboard HERE.

St.John's Athletes Of The Year

Curling Rink Team Gushue, and soccer player Laura Breen captured honors at last night's award banquet. The ceremony was delayed 1 day due to Friday night's storm.

The ING Miami Marathon is this Sunday Jan 28 starting at 6:10 am EST. Our very own Caroline Mcilroy will be trying to better her 2:48:27 PB set at the Newfoundland Provincial Marathon last fall. Check HERE for results later in the day Sunday.

Pat & Ian Royle To Boston

Father and son runners Pat and Ian Royle will join the NL Running "running away" club at the Boston Marathon this April. Pat qualified with 3:24:44 at the Nautilus Provincial Marathon, and Ian made his mark in Frankfurt Germany with his marathon debut of 3:06:42.
