Inn of Olde Run Hot & Cold

More than 60 runners ended up at the Quidi Vidi Inn of Olde Friday night after the Nautilus Dash. The temperature and the beer were cold but the fire and the soup were hot!

Lou Ryan In Jupiter

Continuing his streak of away runs, Lou Ryan ran the Classics By The Sea 10K in Jupiter, Florida last Saturday. Lou's time of 43:14 was good for 2nd place in his age group.

Ryans In West Palm Beach

Lou and Anne Marie Ryan from Marystown completed the half marathon at West Palm Beach Florida on Dec 2, 2007. Lou finished in 1:36:06 for 4th place in his age class. Anne Marie finished in 2:27:47.

Lou also ran in the West Palm Beach JCC 5K Torch Run on Dec 9 and finished with a time of 20:54 for 2nd place in his age class.

Dubai Bronze

Congratulations to Noreen O'Neill on her 3rd place age group finish at the Dubai Half Marathon.

Noreen crossed the line in 2:00:56 despite the 30 degree temperature!

Durnford Sub-3 Hours In Vegas

Edward Durnford got well under the wire at the Las Vegas Marathon last weekend in 2:58:35. Congratulations to Ed on a great follow-up to his first place finish at the Nautilus Half Marathon in September.

Donovan Does Orlando

Congratulations to Gerry Donovan on his 2nd place age group finish at the Orlando Half Marathon Saturday.

Gerry's time of 1:21:47 earned him 20th spot in a field of 1116 men.

National Cross Country Results

Several athletes from the province competed in the Canadian Cross Country Championships yesterday in Guelph, Ontario.

In the junior men's 8k race Ryan Brockerville finished 25th out of 200 in a time of 26 minutes 51.4 seconds. Brockerville was the second finisher from Atlantic Canada. Patrick O'Grady finished 108th in 28:35.8 and was fourth among Atlantic runners while fourteen-year-old Liam Delaney was 192nd in 32:06.5 .

In the senior men's race over 10 kilometers Colin Fewer was 14th overall in 31 Minutes 7.2 seconds. He was the second finisher for Atlantic Canada while Grant Handrigan was 32:43.8 (fourth Atlantic finisher). Eighty-five runners completed the senior race.
