Forecast Looking Good For Friday

The weather man says overcast and 11 degrees for this Friday, so it could be a "shorts" day for the Tely 10 Good Friday Practice Run.

In addition to the hundreds expected on the 10-mile jaunt from Paradise to Bannerman Park, there will be a few leaving Bannerman at 7:30am to tackle an out and back 20-miler.

Note that this is an unsanctioned, unorganized event ... you're on your own.

Flag Person Training For Race Marshals

Athletics Northeast has hired the NLCSA to conduct a training and certification course for Flag Persons. This certification satisfies one of the requirements for race course marshals often required by the City of St. John's.

Course is scheduled for this Saturday March 13 9am-noon at MUN Phys Ed Building Room 2028 (free parking at The Works). Participation is limited to 20 people with only a couple of spots left so ANE is opening the course to interested people in the running and tri community. Fees for participation in the course are being covered by ANE with the only commitment from participants being agreement to marshal at least one ANE road race this year.

Please contact Steve Delaney admin@athleticsnortheast.com if you are interested in participating in this course.
