Tely 10 Record Registration & New Chips

This Sunday morning starting 8am a record number of more than 2700 runners will be at the start line for the 83rd Annual Tely 10 Road Race.

Registration is now closed, and if you didn't get your race kit last night you can still pick it up Saturday from 2-5pm at the Remax Center (St.John's Curling Club) on Mayor Avenue.

Note that there is a new chip timing system this year with chips pre-attached to the back of your race number. Do not move, remove or bend the chip or the protective foam covering the chip. It stays attached to your race number which should be worn on your front and remain visible at all times.

Support Needed For St.John's Cycling Plan

The City of St.John's Cycling Plan needs your vote!

The first phase includes a combination of designated bike lanes and shared use lane markings on about 40K of roads throughout the city. This work is set to start right away for completion in September but some residents (particularly on roads set to lose some of their on-street parking) have lobbied the city to scrap the plan.

If you are in favor of this long-awaited plan to make St.John's a bike-friendly city please take 20 seconds to visit ipetitions.com/petition/stjohnscyclingplan/ and get your name on the list. City Council is meeting THIS FRIDAY for further debate and without a strong show of support from the community this plan could be in jeopardy.
