The Thursday Night Group Road Bike Ride starts this Thursday April 16. Ride leaves 6pm from the Cahill Building off Mackey Place. Riders of all abilities are welcome with the ride usually splitting into groups of different speeds and abilities. This weekly ride is presented by Team Instrumar and you need a BNL Membership to participate. Note that it is early in the season so motorists are not use to seeing cyclists on the road. And roads aren't in the best shape either so be cautious of potholes and cracks. As always you are responsible for your own safety.

How long is the ride going to be (distance)? Or does it vary depending on the group you're with?
ReplyDeleteHello cyclists,
ReplyDeleteWinter is over (we hope but you never know around here) and It is that time
of the year again where we can back on the bikes and start riding outside.
The BNL spin classes have been a huge success and riders should be eager to
start putting their hard winter training to good use! The snow is gone,
road shoulders are clear, and temperatures are bearable so Team Instrumar
would like to announce that the weekly group rides will start on Thursday
April 16th. The rides leave from the Cahill building parking lot at 6:00
pm and riders of all abilities are welcome. The rides will be kept short
initially to avoid getting caught riding in the dark. The ride usually
splits up into groups of different speeds and abilities but regardless of
your speed there is usually someone else to ride with so come on out!
Please note, motorists aren't use to seeing cyclists on the road yet so be
safe and aware of any hazards. Some roads aren't in the best shape either
so be cautious of potholes and cracks. As always, this ride is at your own
discretion, if the weather conditions are horrible or unsafe the decision
to ride rests with you.
Team Instrumar also has some exciting events planned for this season, this
will be communicated in a future email within the next few days.
Looking forward to an exciting and long cycling season and to meeting lots
of new people. If anyone has questions or needs directions to the start
please do not hesitate to contact me at jasoncpretty@gmail.com
Thanks!!
