Distance runner Jillian Forsey returned to the track Friday night after being sidelined by injury since Spring 2015. The 20 year-old highly talented native of Kippens showed that despite the long break from racing she is ready to compete with the best.
Running in the NCAA Big 12 indoor final in Ames Iowa, Forsey finished seventh in the 5000 metres in a time of 16 minutes 34.53 seconds.
Her time is the fastest ever run by a woman from Newfoundland and Labrador indoors and currently ranks her fifth in Canada.
