Dave McConkey hails from Peterborough but spends as much time as possible at his summer residence on Change Islands.While Dave has several distance events under his belt including last week's New York Marathon (3:27:36), he prefers the more adventurous trail events such as the Canadian Death Race, the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler, the Yukon River Trail Marathon and the Iceland 55K Trail Run.
In 2005 Dave was inducted into the Peterborough Sports Hall of Fame.
