Newfoundland highways and major arterials will soon be edged with bumpy strips of pavement designed to wake up inattentive drivers when their vehicles sway over the line.The BC Cycling Coalition states "we object to these installations on the grounds that they compromise the safety of cyclists while trying to compensate for motorists who are: driving with excessive speed; driving while drunk or drowsy; distracted; inattentive."
