Ryan Brockerville recently broke the provincial junior steeplechase record that has stood for 27 years. On the weekend of April 17-18 Ryan competed in a track and field meet in Walnut, California and placed 8th in a time of 9:11:48 for a personal best by 19 seconds.The provincial record of 9:24:32 held by Jeff Collingwood was set back in 1981 at the Canada Summer Games in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
