Mark Hayward won the 9th annual 8km Run for Freedom in St. Mary's today in 27:44 followed by Bill Pomeroy in 29:38. Adam Fitzgerald was 3rd in 30:56, Derek Hunt 4th in 31:02 and 66 year old Art Meaney was 5th in 31:09.Alison Jones was first woman in 32:17, Yvonne Martin took 2nd in 35:26, Joan Hartery 3rd in 35:46, Donna Power 4th in 37:04 and Karen O'Neill 5th in 37:20.
