The MUN Sea~Hawks cross country teams recently travelled to Wolfville, Nova Scotia
to kick off their Atlantic University Sport season running in the
Acadia Invitational.
Veteran runner and first year Sea~Hawk Caroline
McIlroy won the overall 5K women's title in Acadia's debut as host,
stopping the clock at 18 minutes, 15 seconds. In winning the event,
McIlroy did what no other woman in recent history has done at
Memorial. She outpaced the competition by 46 seconds.
Some of her teammates also had great finishes, leading Memorial to a 2nd place
team finish on Saturday. Rookie Jordan Fewer, earned a top 10 finish
in his first AUS meet and the men's team had an all-round solid 3rd
