Scott Young Receives Medal Of Bravery

Transplanted NL Runner Scott Young was presented a Medal of Bravery earlier this week by the Governor General. Scott is serving with the RCMP out west and in 2010 he rescued a drowning women from the frigid, fast moving waters of Slave River in the Northwest Territories.

Scott is one of only a handful of runners with multiple, consecutive Tely 10 wins, securing the victory in 1997 (50:32), 1998 (54:26) and 1999 (51:28).
