Stephen Dyke won the season-closer Carbonear Sprint Triathlon Sunday, completing the 500m swim, 18k bike and 5k run in 59 minutes 23 seconds. Sue Rodgers won the ladies event in 1 hour 15 minutes 37 seconds.

This was the 26th annual triathlon in Carbonear and the final TriNL event of the season. For logistical reasons the 2014 race was moved to the Labour Day weekend however organizers have indicated that next year they intend to return to their traditional mid-July date.
