Utilizing the Three Pond Barrens area of upper Pippy Park, participants will set out on snowshoes through a marked course of 5km through the unique and scenic wooded area. The Snowshoe Challenge begins at noon on Saturday March 14th with an alternate day being Sunday March 15th.
Pre-registration on-line is open until March 12th and the cost is $10. On-site registration will take place on race day from 11:00am until 11:30am. Participants are asked to please arrive 20-30 minutes in advance of the race start time.
The meeting point for the race start is at the end of Allandale Road where the snowshoe and ski trails begin. Participants are asked to park in the parking lot just a short distance before you reach the gate (near the tin sheds) and to car pool wherever possible. The course will be marked and participants are asked to bring water and dress appropriately. Race kits will be available for pick up at The Outfitters at 220 Water Street on Friday March 13th from 10am to 9pm.
