At the NCAA Big12 Conference track and field final in Iowa last week, Kippens native Jillian Forsey finished in an impressive third place in the 5000 metres in a time of 16 minutes 38.32 seconds.
The event was plagued by very high winds that strongly influenced performances.
More than fifty runners from some of the strongest universities in the mid-west of America competed in the race.
