Pardy Running NYM For FDNY
September 11 is the 10th anniversary of the terrible events that took place in New York on this date in 2001.
The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) has 15 confirmed spots for this year's New York Marathon on November 6. Because of Gander's significant roll 10 years ago, the FDNY has offered one these spots to an NL Runner and Jeannie Pardy has been selected.
The commitment that all marathoners have made to the FDNY is to raise a minimum of $3050 with all monies raised going directly to the FDNY Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization researching rescue techniques and technology. The cost of the trip and marathon will be paid personally by the participants.
If you can help Jeannie with a tax-deductible donation to this cause please CLICK HERE.
